Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups green tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon butter cut into small pieces
  • 1 package pie crust top and bottom

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced green tomatoes, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  3. Place one pie crust in a pie dish. Pour the tomato mixture into the crust and dot with butter.
  4. Cover with the second pie crust. Seal the edges and cut a few slits on top to let steam escape.
  5. Bake for 60 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  6. Let the pie cool before serving.
