Main Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup brown sugar packed
- ¾ cup molasses
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup butter softened
- 1 large egg
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg and molasses, mix well.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
Roll dough to ¼ inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters and place on baking sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
