Ingredients 

Chicken and Marinade

  • 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water

For Frying

  • 2 cups vegetable oil

For Garnish

  • 2 pcs green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix chicken with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. 2. In another bowl, mix all sauce ingredients and set aside.
  3. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. 4. Remove excess oil from the wok, leaving about 1 tablespoon. Add the sauce mixture and bring to a boil.
  5. 5. Add the fried chicken to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
