Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup olive oil plus extra for drizzling
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon fresh rosemary chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. 2. Add the flour, salt, and ¼ cup of olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Punch down the dough and transfer it to a greased baking sheet. Stretch it out to fit the sheet.
  6. 6. Make indentations all over the dough with your fingers. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with minced garlic and chopped rosemary.
  7. 7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool slightly before serving.
