Ingredients

  • 1 unit pie crust, baked and cooled
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package strawberry gelatin 3 ounces
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 optional Whipped cream

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch; stir in water until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  2. Remove from the heat; stir in gelatin until dissolved. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes or until slightly cooled.
  3. Meanwhile, arrange strawberries in the crust. Pour gelatin mixture over berries. Refrigerate until set.
  4. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
