Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups peeled and chopped pears
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in pears.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
