- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- ½ cup Butter softened
- 2 units Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ cup Milk
- 2 cups Fresh peaches peeled and sliced
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
Fold in the sliced peaches. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
