Ingredients

Galette

  • 1 sheet Pie crust store-bought or homemade
  • 8 oz Fresh figs sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 large Egg beaten, for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Transfer the crust to the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced figs, honey, lemon juice, flour, and sugar. Toss gently to coat.
  5. Arrange the fig mixture in the center of the pie crust, leaving a 2-inch border around the edges.
  6. Fold the edges of the crust over the figs, pleating as needed to create a rustic look.
  7. Brush the crust with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the figs are tender.
  9. Allow the galette to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
