Ingredients 

Cake Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g butter softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 g chocolate melted

Decoration Ingredients

  • 50 g chocolate shavings
  • 100 g mini chocolate eggs

Instructions 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Sift the flour and baking powder together, then fold into the mixture.
  6. Stir in the melted chocolate until well combined.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool completely before decorating.
  9. Decorate the top of the cake with chocolate shavings and mini chocolate eggs to resemble a nest.
