Crust
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter cold, cut into cubes
- ¼ cup ice water
Filling
- 6 apples peeled, cored, and sliced
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and butter for the crust. Mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Add ice water gradually and mix until the dough comes together. Form into a ball, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and place it into a pie dish. Trim the edges.
In another bowl, combine apples, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour. Mix well.
Pour the apple mixture into the crust. Dot with butter if desired.
Bake for 60 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly. Let cool before serving.
