Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then roll in powdered sugar. Place on baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
