- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped almonds
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy.
Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
Stir in dark chocolate chips and chopped almonds.
Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are set.
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
