Creme Brulee French Toast
A delicious twist on classic French toast with a creme brulee topping.

- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup butter melted
- 2 tablespoon corn syrup
- 1 loaf French bread sliced
- 5 eggs
- 1 ½ cups half-and-half cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a small saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar and corn syrup over medium heat. Stir until smooth. Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Arrange slices of bread in the baking dish in a single layer.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, half-and-half, vanilla, and salt. Pour over the bread slices, making sure they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
Bake in preheated oven until golden and puffed, about 30 minutes. Serve warm.
