Main Ingredients
- 1 cup wild rice
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
1. Cook wild rice according to package instructions. Set aside.
2. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, carrots, and celery. Cook until tender.
3. Stir in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Add cooked chicken and wild rice to the pot. Stir in heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
5. Serve hot and enjoy!
