Ingredients 

Galette

  • 1 sheet Pie crust store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups Apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup Cranberries fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 unit Egg beaten, for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon Coarse sugar for sprinkling

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the apples, cranberries, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Toss until the fruit is well coated.
  3. Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface. Transfer it to the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Pour the fruit mixture onto the center of the pie crust, leaving a 2-inch border around the edges.
  5. Fold the edges of the crust over the fruit, pleating as necessary. Brush the crust with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.
