Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 units Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Fill the cupcake liners about ⅔ full with the batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cupcakes cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
