Main Ingredients
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
- powdered sugar for dusting
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour a madeleine pan.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and thick. Add the vanilla extract.
Gently fold in the flour mixture, then the melted butter.
Spoon the batter into the prepared madeleine pan, filling each mold about ¾ full.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers spring back when touched.
Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
