  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¾ cup Lard chilled
  • 5-6 tablespoon Cold water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  2. 2. Cut in lard until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. 3. Gradually add cold water, tossing with a fork until dough holds together when pressed.
  4. 4. Divide dough in half. Shape each into a disk. Wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. 5. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each portion to fit a 9-in. pie plate.
  6. 6. Transfer pastry to pie plate. Trim even with edge. Add filling and bake as directed in your pie recipe.
