Ingredients 

Muffin Batter

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Cinnamon Sugar Filling

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and eggs.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter for the filling.
  6. Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter, add a spoonful of the cinnamon sugar filling, then top with more batter.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. While the muffins are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  9. Once the muffins are done, let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling the glaze on top.
