Ingredients 

Cake Batter

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Butter softened
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle half over the batter. Repeat layers.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
