Main Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chopped pecans.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set.
Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Drizzle caramel sauce over the cooled cookies. Let the caramel set before serving.
