Chocolate Strawberry Tart

Crust
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
Filling
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping
- 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and sugar.
Add melted butter and egg, mix until dough forms.
Press dough into tart pan, bake for 15 minutes. Let cool.
Heat cream until simmering, pour over chopped chocolate. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Stir until smooth, add vanilla extract. Pour into cooled crust.
Chill in refrigerator for 2 hours or until set.
Top with sliced strawberries before serving.
