Main Ingredients
- ½ cup sugar
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 ¾ cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens. Boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into individual serving dishes.
Let cool slightly, then refrigerate until set. Serve chilled.
