Chocolate Peppermint Thumbprints

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Butter softened
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- ½ cup Cocoa Powder
- ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips for filling
- ¼ cup Crushed Peppermint Candies for topping
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in vanilla and peppermint extracts.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture until combined.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
Make an indentation in the center of each ball with your thumb.
Bake for 10 minutes or until set.
Remove from oven and immediately press the centers again if needed.
Fill each indentation with melted chocolate chips and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
Let cool completely before serving.
