Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup hazelnuts finely chopped
  • ½ cup chocolate hazelnut spread

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chopped hazelnuts.
  4. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. Use your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each cookie.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Once cookies are cool, fill each indentation with a small amount of chocolate hazelnut spread.
