Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry Tart

Crust
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 large egg beaten
Filling
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz dark chocolate chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping
- 1 lb fresh strawberries hulled and halved
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and sugar. Add cold, cubed butter and mix until crumbly.
3. Add the beaten egg and mix until the dough comes together. Press the dough into a tart pan.
4. Bake the crust for 15 minutes. Let it cool completely.
5. For the filling, heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it just begins to simmer. Pour over chopped dark chocolate and let sit for 2 minutes. Stir until smooth and add vanilla extract.
6. Pour the chocolate filling into the cooled crust. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
7. Arrange the halved strawberries on top of the tart before serving.
