Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
In a small bowl, whisk together cream, egg, and vanilla. Add to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently. Pat into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into 8 wedges.
Place wedges on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
