Ingredients

Filling

  • 2 cups Cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup Frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • ½ cup Milk
  • cup Butter
  • cup All-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper

Crust

  • 2 sheets Pie crusts store-bought or homemade

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Gradually stir in the chicken broth and milk, cooking and stirring until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  4. Stir in the shredded chicken and frozen peas and carrots. Remove from heat.
  5. Place one pie crust in a baking dish. Pour the chicken mixture into the crust.
  6. Cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges and cutting away any excess. Make several small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
