- 4 cups Cherries pitted
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- ½ cup Butter melted
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine cherries and half of the sugar. Set aside.
In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and remaining sugar.
Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the flour mixture. Stir until smooth.
Pour batter into a greased baking dish. Spoon cherries over the batter.
Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
