Ingredients 

Macaron Shells

  • 100 g Almond Flour
  • 100 g Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Egg Whites room temperature
  • 50 g Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Chai Spice Mix

Filling

  • 100 g Butter softened
  • 200 g Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Chai Spice Mix
  • 1 tablespoon Milk as needed

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sift almond flour and powdered sugar together.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add granulated sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold in the almond flour mixture and chai spice mix into the egg whites until well combined.
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Tap the baking sheet on the counter to release any air bubbles. Let the macarons sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes. Let cool completely before removing from the baking sheet.
  8. For the filling, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar and chai spice mix. Add milk as needed to achieve desired consistency.
  9. Pipe the filling onto one macaron shell and sandwich with another shell.
