Cookie Dough
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Caramel Filling
- ½ cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup finely chopped apples
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until combined.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. Make an indentation in the center of each ball using your thumb or the back of a spoon.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
Fill each indentation with caramel sauce and top with finely chopped apples.
