Ingredients 

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • ½ cup caramel sauce

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with buttermilk. Fold in diced apples.
  5. Fill muffin cups ¾ full. Drizzle caramel sauce on top of each muffin.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
