Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 6 slices Bacon chopped
  • 1 head Cabbage chopped
  • 1 large Onion diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large pot, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pot.
  2. 2. Add the diced onion to the pot and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. 3. Add the chopped cabbage to the pot and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. 4. Pour in the chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
  5. 5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in the cooked bacon pieces.
  6. 6. Serve hot and enjoy!
