- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1.5 teaspoon salt
- 1.5 cups buttermilk
- ½ cup butter, melted
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in the buttermilk until just combined.
Pour the melted butter into an 8x8 inch baking dish.
Spoon the batter over the melted butter and spread it out evenly.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before cutting into squares and serving.
