Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • ½ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 10 fresh sage leaves

Instructions 

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Divide dough into 8 rolls and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. In a small saucepan, melt ¼ cup butter and add sage leaves. Cook until butter is browned and sage is crispy.
  9. Brush sage butter over warm rolls before serving.
