Brown Butter Pecan Pie Bars

Crust
- 1 cup unsalted butter melted
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Filling
- ½ cup unsalted butter browned
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- ½ cup corn syrup
- 3 large eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups pecans chopped
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Press the mixture into the prepared baking pan to form the crust.
Bake the crust for 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and set aside.
In a saucepan, brown the butter over medium heat until it turns a golden brown color and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
In a mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Stir in the chopped pecans. Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust.
Bake for 25 minutes or until the filling is set and golden brown. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
