Filling
- 4 cups cherries, pitted fresh or frozen
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoon cornstarch
- ¼ cup bourbon
Topping
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine cherries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and bourbon. Mix well and pour into a baking dish.
In another bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt. Spread this mixture evenly over the cherries.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
