Ingredients 

Tart Crust

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 0.25 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 large Egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoon Cold water

Filling

  • 4 cups Blackberries fresh
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add the egg yolk and cold water. Mix until the dough comes together. Press the dough into a tart pan and chill for 30 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, combine blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon zest. Pour the mixture into the chilled tart crust.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly. Let it cool before serving.
