Main Ingredients
- 8 slices Bread preferably stale
- 1 cup Mixed Berries fresh or frozen
- 4 large Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- ½ cup Heavy Cream
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
Cut the bread into cubes and place half in the baking dish.
Sprinkle half of the mixed berries over the bread.
Layer the remaining bread cubes and berries on top.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread and berries.
Let the casserole sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the liquid.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
