Filling
- 500 g Beef Mince
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
- 1 cup Beef Stock
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 cup Frozen Peas
Pastry
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Cold Butter, cubed
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 egg Egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
In a pan, cook beef mince until browned. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
Stir in tomato paste, beef stock, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add peas and cook for another 5 minutes.
In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly. Add water gradually to form a dough.
Roll out dough and line a pie dish. Add beef mixture. Cover with another layer of dough. Brush with egg wash.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
