Main Ingredients
- 4 bananas sliced lengthwise and halved
- ¼ cup butter unsalted
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- ¼ cup dark rum
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream for serving
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the brown sugar and cinnamon, and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add the bananas to the skillet and cook until they start to soften, about 2-3 minutes.
Carefully add the rum to the skillet. If you want to flambé, use a long lighter to ignite the rum.
Cook until the flame dies down and the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Serve the bananas and sauce over vanilla ice cream.
