Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups apples peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the oil, eggs, and vanilla. Stir into the dry ingredients just until moistened.
  4. Fold in the apples and walnuts. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool before serving.
