Ingredients 

Crust

  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter cold, cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3-4 tablespoon ice water

Filling

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 pears ripe, peeled, cored, and sliced

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until dough comes together. Press dough into a tart pan. Chill for 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, beat almond flour, sugar, and butter until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Spread filling over chilled crust.
  4. Arrange pear slices on top of the filling. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and set. Cool before serving.
