  • 1 cup unsalted butter cold, cut into cubes
  • ¼ cup ice water

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  2. Add the cold butter cubes and cut into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough just comes together.
  4. Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using.
