Stocking Stuffer Idea: Matroyshka Measuring Cups

I’m happy to note my ‘best kitchen tool’ suggestion is featured in the December 13th Woman’s World magazine currently on stands (it’s the 2nd tidbit in photo above). In addition to my review, you’ll find loads of other great ideas and tips in this holiday issue.

These cute, little measuring cups remind me of our visit to St. Petersburg Russia last year. Matroyshka nesting dolls were the #1 tourist item and we eventually gave in to buy a small set. In similar fashion, these white measuring cups nest inside one another and conserve precious cupboard space. And, it’s nice to have such a whimsical kitchen tool to making baking fun.

You can find the measuring cups online at Amazon.com for around $10:

Affordable, functional, and decorate — a perfect stocking stuffer for the cook on your Christmas list!

Adorable! I’m originally from Russia and love finding fun little things like this. I just bought a tea towel from Anthropologie with the Kremlin on it :)

I was reading your article entitled “RIP: My Beloved Silpat” and I could not resist commenting on it. What a very touching love story! My Silpat is just turning eight and I am crossing my fingers it will last a while longer even if I just got a bright new one. I never thought of using it on a baking sheet because the consultant who sold it to me paired it with the perforated baking sheet that is made for it. I could not stop there, I had to have as many as possible… When I arrived here from France three years ago, I actually brought over my Flexipan collection in my suitcase. Those are my essentials in life. I missed my comfort food so much that I started to cook and bake more and more. Now, I am one of Demarle at Home representatives and I love sharing baking ideas, recipes while experiencing the camaraderie of a culinary demonstration and tasting event with the products I adore. I’ve never found anything better on the market. If you are crazy about your Silpat or Roulpat, which are the only products in the line available in retail, you will go crazy with the rest of the collection. I would be delighted to help you with care instructions or ways to expand your love for the brand.
